Smarty Pants!
On Christmas Eve, we went to my Uncle Dee's home. After dinner, he dressed up as Santa. He asked the kids what they would like for Christmas, gave them a candy cane, and was gone. Later when Uncle Dee came back as himself, Jorgen and Haylee proceeded to explain that he had missed Santa. But Ahlianna was not fooled. While Haylee and Jorgen were bursting with excitment, Ahlianna mumbles, "That wasn't the real santa. That was him." I'm afraid she will be the one to break "the news" to the older kids one of these days.
What can I say?!
The other night Jorgen did not want to go to bed. He said that if he went to sleep he would have bad dreams. Knowing how much he really needed sleep, I told him to think happy thoughts and he would be fine. Of course, this didn't work. So, Wayne being an amazing husband and father said, "Jorgen, let's have a prayer." They went into Jorgen's room and Jorgen offered the prayer. Immediately after the prayer Jorgen started crying. He said, "Everything is going to be okay dad. Heavenly Father touched my heart, and He's not going to let me have bad dreams tonight." Wow! The faith of little children! BTW- He slept all night long and woke up refreshed and in a great mood!

Just a moment with my kids!
We took a walk around the block today, and Jorgen collected a branch that had recently fallen from someone's tree. He dragged it all the way home. What a find! The kids each took turns using it as a big feather and tickled each other with it. Then a piece of the branch broke, so we had a miniature of the original. My dad had the sprinklers going. Ahlianna took the detached piece and started "Roasting Marshmallows Over the Fire (Sprinkler)" What an imagination!

WHAT?!
The other night Ahlianna came running from her room screaming like someone was after her. She sounded terrified. As soon as she got to our room, the screaming stopped. Wayne held her and asked her what was wrong. She looked at him as if she had no idea what he was talking about and said, "What!?!?" Who knows what was going through her head - maybe she was sleep walking? We don't know, but Wayne and I still laugh when we think about it. She is one weird girl!!!

Welcome to the Billman Blog. I am excited for this. I have enjoyed reading other peoples' blogs, and I decided it would be fun to start one of our own. Wayne and I will be celebrating our 9th wedding anniversary in March. It is amazing to me that it has really been that long. We have three wonderful active children. They keep us running!!! Haylee will be 8 years old in March. She gets to baptised on her birthday! She is very excited. Jorgen is in kindergarten and loves socializing. Ahlianna is one of a kind. I haven't quite figured her out yet! We love them!
